Refund Policy
SDSlab Intelligence is a monthly subscription billed in advance through Paddle. This policy explains when you can request a refund and how the process works.

1
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the SDSlab Intelligence subscription (USD 100 / month), purchased through self-serve checkout on SDSlab.org. All paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle, which acts as our merchant of record. Refunds are therefore issued through Paddle back to the original payment method.
2
14-day first-subscription refund
If you are a new subscriber and SDSlab Intelligence does not meet your expectations, you can request a full refund of the first monthly payment within 14 days of that payment, no questions asked. This cooling-off window applies to the very first paid period only.
3
Cancellation vs. refund
Cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund are two different actions:
- Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. You keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. No further charges are made.
- A refund returns money already paid. It is granted only under the conditions described in this policy.
By default, we recommend simply cancelling at the end of a month you no longer need — that avoids the refund process entirely.
4
Cases eligible for a refund
- First-time subscribers within 14 days of the first payment (full refund).
- Duplicate or accidental charges caused by a technical error.
- Unauthorised charges you can demonstrate were made without your consent.
- Cases where SDSlab is unable to deliver the paid features for an extended period due to a service outage on our side.
- Refunds mandated by applicable consumer protection law.
5
Cases not eligible for a refund
- Renewals after the first month: by default we do not refund renewal charges once a new billing period has begun. Please cancel before your renewal date if you do not intend to continue.
- Partial use of a billing period: subscriptions are not pro-rated.
- Change of mind after extensive use of paid features during the first month (e.g. generating large volumes of AI reports), which we reserve the right to treat as use of the service.
- Abusive, fraudulent or policy-violating usage leading to account suspension.
Where mandatory local consumer law (for example, EU/UK distance selling rules for consumers) grants you stronger refund rights, those rights apply regardless of the above.
6
How to request a refund
There are two ways to request a refund:
- Email [email protected] from the email address on your SDSlab account, with the order ID from your Paddle receipt and a short reason for the request.
- Open the Paddle customer portal linked from any Paddle receipt email and submit the request there directly.
We review refund requests manually and aim to respond within 3 business days.
7
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued by Paddle back to the original payment method used at checkout. The time it takes for the refund to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer or payment provider, and is typically between 5 and 10 business days.
Where taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) were collected on the original payment, the refund includes those taxes — Paddle handles the adjustment automatically.

Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at [email protected]. Initiating a chargeback with your bank before contacting us can delay resolution and may result in temporary suspension of your account while we investigate.
